The Albert Gore Research Center at Middle Tennessee State University houses historical collections related to Tennessee politics and the history of the university, region, and equestrian industry. The Gore Center welcomes donations of documents, photographs, memorabilia, and other materials relating to its mission to Middle Tennessee.

Nashville Black Pride is an annual celebration of life and culture for LGBT/Same Gender Loving African American's, their partners, families & friends. NBP is sponsored by Brothers & Sisters United Network, Inc., the states only 501c3 non profit organization. NBP is a proud member of the International Federatioin of Black Prides organization which is a collective of over 28 Black Prides across the country including Toronto & South Africa. Nashville's Black Pride is the last weekend in October.

Tennessee Equality Project is a statewide organization dedicated to promote and sustain the equality of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender persons in the state through establishing fair and equitable laws protecting these rights and eliminating and preventing laws that would seek to counter this effort. TEP was founded on June 15, 2004 by members of the GLBT community in Nashville and now has committees in each grand division of Tennessee.

MT Lambda provides an open atmosphere where members are encouraged to make friends and build relationships with other like-minded individuals. This is accomplished by attending social events such as dinners, movies, sporting events, and other campus activities. The Brothers and Sisters United Network is a collective of African American LGBT/SGL volunteers that seeks to provide community empowerment and self actualization through its individual BU Chapters in Nashville, Chattanooga, Memphis & Knoxville. The organization strives to provide continuous psychosocial, life coaching, affirming pastoral care, and healthy social supports to the Black LGBT community to enhance their life. The BASU network also hosts the annual Nashvile Black Pride celebration.

One-In-Teen (OIT) is one of the oldest non-profit organizations serving the GLBT community in Middle Tennessee. Founded in 1989, OIT seeks to provide a safe, supportive, and confidential place where gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, & questioning (GLBTQ) youth ages 14-21 can be themselves, explore their feelings, make friends, participate in special events, gain a sense of self-identity, & build self-esteem. The best know OIT programs are the Wednesday youth group and annual Alternative Prom.
